Faculty Position - Clinical Assistant Professor of Small Animal Integrative Medicine
The Department of Comparative, Diagnostic, and Population Medicine in the College of Veterinary
Medicine is seeking applications for a full-time clinical assistant professor in small animal Integrative
Medicine for a clinical service that focuses on mobility (rehabilitation and sports medicine) and
regenerative medicine (hyperbaric oxygen therapy and orthobiologics). The successful candidate will
work in the Integrative Medicine Service of the Small Animal Hospital, which features a substantial
caseload and an indoor pool, underwater treadmills, a hyperbaric oxygen chamber, and a dedicated
integrative medicine treatment area. The successful candidate will join other ACVSMR diplomate
faculty (two FT, one PT), one specialty intern, two ACVSMR residents, and four service technicians
(including two with rehabilitation certifications). The position will have a clinical commitment
consistent with other responsibilities but will include a significant clinical assignment, including
clinical teaching of professional veterinary students and house officers. Opportunities for clinically
relevant research, service in the field, and work with other species (large animal, exotic) are provided.
Qualifications
Requirements include a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) or equivalent degree and having
completed residency training in canine sports medicine and rehabilitation. Candidates should be able
to start no later than November 1, 2022 and have qualifications consistent with the rank of Clinical
Assistant Professor.
